Specify how much you want to pay. If you don't want to pledge any money, it is nevertheless important to write an encouraging message with a pay tag - just specify an amount of zero EUR, USD, whatever. That way parsers can find out how many people are interested in a solution. In fact, a high number of people interested may sometimes be a higher incentive for a potential solution provider than a large amount of pay.
Sample message:
I've described earlier that I need an
OpenOffice extension. The first person to
provide a solution will receive between 20
EUR and 30 EUR, depending on how satisfied I
am.

Another sample message:
I'm also interested in the OpenOffice
extension described by Alice. I'm willing to
pay 10 EUR to whoever provides the first
solution.
