Having obtained a solution, it's your duty to pay the solution provider the amount of money that you pledged. If multiple solutions are provided, then the person who provided the first one should get the pay even when his solution is inferior to the other(s).
In order for the system to work, people are expected to be not too pernickety. In other words: Be generous!
Finding the appropriate payment method may require additional correspondence with the solution provider.
