Affero

Affero is a service that works roughly as follows. A author includes a tag, which is a URL, in his message in a public forum. When someone likes this author's contribution, then he follows the tag, and gets to a little web page the user set up at Affero. On this page the author lists projects that he thinks deserve a donation. Also, the page allows rating of the author's contributions. Once a donation or a rating has been done, then this is recorded in Affero's database. Affero's web site offers various statistics created from this information.

Part of the software running on Affero's web site is licensed under the Affero General Public License, a modified GPL. The source code of the underlyig software of a site licensed this way must be made available to users, upon request.
